Our home in the heart of the Finger Lakes

Shamrock Kennels is located north of Seneca Falls on 110 acres of ponds and cornfields. Originally a Revolutionary War land grant, the Metcalf family operated a farm and brickyard here for generations.  In the mid 1800's, the Metcalf family supported the social reform movements of the time, including women's suffrage, temperance, anti-slavery and the underground railroad.  In 1960, the farm was purchased by my parents and the property became known as the "Lashbrook Farm", a favored destination for generations of strawberry lovers.  Today the Lashbrook Farm is home to my family, the ghosts of the past, and the little red dogs we call tollers.
Thank you for visiting.  I hop you will find this website informative and entertaining.  Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers (tollers) are my passion and my joy.  Tollers excel in all performance venues, and you may choose to participate in any number of activities with you toller.  But first and foremost, the toller has to fit your lifestyle - no couch potatoes please.

I breed happy dogs for happy families because...

It's all about the smiles!
